Yummy, what a great approach. I love the look of this.
This sounds so delicious! I wouldn’t even know where to find goose fat or sausage, but I would definitely try your substitutes!
well Melissa, you can now find it here: http://bisrakosher.com
So, pasta, goose, raisins and pine nuts. Can life get better than that? Don’t wait for a holiday for this dish. Too yummy for once a year.
I agree 100% Ronnie! But I still wait for the holiday to make this special dish…. the rest of the year, I make an easier and quicker variant: I just cook some olive oil with a couple of whore garlic cloves and rosemary sprigs (you can quickly roast a couple of chicken wings in it for a boost of meaty flavor); add the softened raisins and toasted pine nuts, and use this sauce, and a little broth, to toss the noodles, skipping the baking step.
Wow! Sounds like a recipe I will love!
Affascinante!
